Art Direction 1

This course is an introduction to advertising both as an industry and as a means of communication. Students work on creative strategy and execution of concepts and messaging in various media.
Project 1: Print Campaign
The students champion a product or cause and create a unique, creative strategy. They then translate that strategy into a campaign of three print ads at magazine size.
Project 2: Outdoor/Ambient
The students once again champion a product or cause and create a unique, creative strategy. They then translate that strategy into an out of home advertisement.
