Herstory is an exhibition celebrating many female alumni and educators who have made a distinct impact on Texas State University and the world in general. This proposal was created for an MFA Environmental Graphic Design class. The current exhibition is housed in the LBJ Student Center in a small hallway with lots of through-traffic. In order to create more of an impact for the exhibit, this proposal focused on a much more interactive format for displaying the information than the “pictures behind glass” approach used now. Rotating blocks could be spun to provide details about the various highlighted women, while large touch screens allow users to take a deep dive into history, or to interact in real time with the exhibition via social media.
